Is There Any Snowdrift Mapping Software?
I will be landscaping a home this next spring/summer and I would like to know if there is any software that would aid me in placing any trees or barriers to control drifting snow. Nothing too complicated, just something to give me an idea.

Snow drift mapping does not exist. But snow depth charts are available from NOAA’s http://www.nohrsc.nws.gov/

Snow drifts are a caused when the wind flow is diturbed by a stationary object, House, Snow Fence, Trees Etc.
Important considerations for effective snow fence designs are height, length, setback distance, density, and species. These factors contribute to the function of the barrier and determine the snow storage capacity for a specific site.
